THE W8GQN REPEATER SUFFERED CATASTROPHIC DAMAGE DURING THE MARCH 2025 ICE STORM IN NORTHERN MICHIGAN. WE ARE CURRENTLY OFF THE AIR UNTIL THE SPRING OF 2026 WHEN REPAIRS CAN BE MADE. WE WILL REPOST WHEN THE REPEATER IS UP AND RUNNING ONCE AGAIN. 

S.A.A.R.C. owns and operates a 2m Band Repeater located in Stutsmanville, Michigan. We are positioned at 320' on the 1090' tower (above Lake Michigan.)

Frequency 146.68     600kHz Offset     PL 110.9

Repeater: Kenwood TKR 750

Amplifier: TE Systems 250W continuous

Power Supply: Astron RS-70M

Duplexer: 6 Can Phelps Dodge

Transmission Line: 7/8" Heliax

Antenna: 2 Bay Dipole Array at 320'

Power to the antenna is 100 W with coverage from Sault Saint Marie Ontario, Canada to Mancelona, Michigan.

Also at the Stutsmanville site is a Kenwood TKR-820 GMRS Repeater

Frequency: 462.550+ PL 141.3 WRXC309 running 25W into a Sinclair 6 can Duplexer and a Sinclair 8 Bay Dipole at 407'

S.A.A.R.C. also Sponsors several repeaters located on Krause Road in Petoskey, Michigan.

Current Project is a 2m Frequency 147.00+ PL 114.8 running 100 W into a 2 Bay Dipole at 260'. This is currently under installation and we will update when it goes live.

Future projects at the Krause Road location include a 70cm  Frequency 442.050+ PL 114.8 Repeater running low power (until we find an amplifier) into an 8 Bay Dipole at 260'.

Future projects at the Krause Road location include a 220 Repeater. Frequency is 224.660/223.660. After all repeater projects are operation, we will be adding a 6M and 10M Repeater to the area.
